The sandy soils in the Middle East have a very low water holding capacity and require an average irrigation demand of 12-15 liters per square meter daily.
Zeoplant improves the soil structure and increases the water holding capacity of the soil to the extent that infiltration speed of irrigation water will be reduced by up to 85%. Plant roots have more time to absorb the water and loss of water through percolation is reduced drastically.
Zeoplant reduces the evapo-transpiration through binding of the water on Zeoplant's active surface (capilars act like water tanks).

No. Zeoplant does not interfere with fertilizers. It helps to bind nutrients in the soil and makes them longer available for the roots. Due to the reduction of irrigation water, the usage of fertilizers will be reduced because leaching will be prevented.
